OK, so it started to get a little too chilly shortly after this picture was taken, but, man! The fresh air was lovely while we could stand it.

An adult female lion with one of three cubs born last September; the cubs first went on view in November, but we hadn’t been to the zoo since October, so it’s our first time seeing them.
Periodically, the other adult female lion would get up and stare across the way at the tiger, who returned the stare in kind until she was distracted by the deer on the other side of the tiger enclosure.
A lovely time was had by all.

I took my new boots out for a spin, and I was glad to have ‘em, because the trail was melty and muddy — but it was really good to be outside again with the sun shining.

I found this shedded whisker on the floor, and, when I showed it to Mitsu — because he fairly demanded to investigate — he tried to eat it. What’s that about?
